Large copper handwrought charger.

A. TESSELINCK, 17 1/2” diameter x 3 1/4”h. August Tesselinck, nephew of Dirk van Erp, both in van Erp’s workshop and on his own as a master craftsman in metal. This large charger, with its curved and shaped rim, uses rustic hammering on the bowl and becomes finer at the rim with finish hammering at the edge. It is hand wrought from one piece of copper. Original patina, signed.
