McHugh Bedroom Side Table
Signed. Original green finish. 17 1/2″w x 18″d x38 1/4″h. McHugh was an early designer and manufacturer of Mission furniture. He designed and made his early first A&C furniture from1894 to 1897 and first published his designs in 1898. His history is available in the book “The Distinction of Being Different” which accompanied the Exhibition of his work at the Museum of Art Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute.
