A lovely image with sand dunes and trees overlooking the sea. Titled “Moods”. 1936.

Mildred Bryant Brooks was born in 1901. Moved to Long Beach in 1907. Following High School she began art studies at USC followed by selected classes at Otis and Chouinard Institutes. Began teaching at the Stickney Art School in Pasadena in 1929 and the bulk of her etchings were done in the 1930s. Her works were awarded many prizes. The Smithsonian held a one person show of her work. Works held-Laguna Beach Museum of Art, De Young Museum (SF), Cleveland Museum, Smithsonian Inst. This etching is titled, numbered and signed by the artist. Image 12″ x 9″ in frame 23″ x 19″. Edition of 75. Framed archivally.
